Last year, the annual Coleman Greig Challenge kicked off, virtual style. Nothing was going to stop the largest charity event in Western Sydney raising money for children with special needs and newborn care, and corporate sponsors and many individuals supported this great cause.
The virtual event was a huge success, and we are so grateful to announce that the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Westmead Hospital has been donated six new mobile BiliSoft blankets for the treatment of jaundice in newborn babies.
Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Coleman Greig Challenge is a week-long event scheduled for November 12 – 19, and will continue to be a virtual one, encouraging participants to take time back for themselves during this stressful period, all while giving back to the community.
We are also excited to announce that InnoWell is joining us again this year and is sponsoring the team at Westmead Hospital. Josh McInnes, Content Manager at Innowell said, “We’re proud to show our support for the heroes at Westmead Hospital, on the front-line for the work they do for our community during COVID-19 and beyond.”
We know that the last few months have been challenging for everyone. Josh believes in “celebrating the important role physical activity, social connection, and community play in personal wellbeing”. We are looking forward to another successful year of the Coleman Greig Challenge and we are excited to see how everyone participates in their own way this year.
