Melanoma March is in its tenth year and is Melanoma Institute Australia’s major annual fundraising campaign. Each Melanoma March brings together melanoma patients, their families, and local communities to raise awareness and funds for research to reach our goal of zero deaths from melanoma. Last year, over 7,000 people from every state and territory supported Melanoma March. In 2020, we invite you to march with us, so everyone survives.
Every five hours, one Australian dies from melanoma.
It is expected that there will be over 15,000 melanoma diagnoses in Australia in 2019. Melanoma is the third most common cancer in Australian men and women, and the most common cancer affecting 15 to 39-year-olds. In 2019, it is predicted that there will be over 1,700 deaths to melanoma – that is one Australian every four hours.
Take steps to beat this killer disease.
We’re marching so everyone survives.
Melanoma March is saving lives.
Recent advances in treatment have tripled the life expectancy for advanced melanoma patients.
But we can’t do it alone.
Join us on 4 February and speak out and stand up for a cancer-free world.
Our time to act is now.
