Students As LifeStyle Activists (SALSA)

Four schools and 19 high school students took the spotlight at the SALSA Youth Voices Action Day 2024, showcasing student-led initiatives that aim to get their peers moving.

An initiative by the Prevention Education and Research Unit (PERU) of Westmead Hospital, SALSA is a prevention program that help build strong connections between adolescents and healthy eating physical activity, smoking cessation and promoting healthy choices.

With your help, the Foundation was able to provide $50 vouchers to SALSA participants as a token of appreciation to the student leaders who have worked hard on their healthy lifestyle projects. Together, they’re proving that youth leadership is a powerful tool for creating healthier communities.
